The Clock

Listen

to the

clock,  clock,  clock

on the

wall

behind the

door.

Striking

out each

thought,  thought,  thought

as its

hands

have done

before.

Never

does it

stop,  stop,  stop

so

time will

tell

some more.

Persistent

is the

clock,  clock,  clock

on the

wall

behind the

door.

Writing for children is my first love. The idea of sharing the sounds, rhythms, and fun of words really gets me going. I grew up reading English storybooks, thus, most of my writings have a slight English feel to them. Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein were what I read most to my daughter…hopefully some of their influence can be found as well. Thanks for the read and would love to hear your thoughts!

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6
